Digital Economy

Since 2020 I’ve worked as State Expert to The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine’s (Digital Economy & Virtual Assets).

Global market of virtual assets (cryptocurrencies, game currencies and object, loyalty points) is growing exponentially. The cumulative market capitalization of cryptocurrencies is $3.3T now and has grown 330x in the last 10 years.

In the parallel the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine states goals in the increasing the share of IT in the GDP and improving the accessibility of public digital services. Both goals can be achieved with the proper market regulation and stimulation. My work lies in the development of the team, strategy and the ecosystem.

Program Director Web3 Institute

The Web3 Institute provides a locus for the burgeoning Web3 space in Ukraine. It is founded by Public Union “Virtual Assets 2030” with support from the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. The Web3 Institute is enabling the Web3 ecosystem in Ukraine and around the world.

Strategic Foresight – Industry Vision 2030

This is a case study of the foresight held for the novel Virtual Assets (VA) industry in Ukraine. A virtual asset is a digital representation of value that can be digitally traded or transferred, and can be used for payment or investment purposes (e.g. Bitcoin, other cryptocurrencies, tokenized real estate, NFT art, various game currencies, loyalty points etc). The term got most usage in the connection to the regulation efforts made by countries in answer to the rapidly growing crypto market:

Digital economic activity occurs between citizens and within the private sector in the forms of digital infrastructure provision, e-commerce, and e-business. What constitutes digital economic activity can include anything that involves a digital transactions: from payments and online shopping to social media marketplaces and collaborative tools or networked ways of producing new ideas and products.

Web3 for Ukraine: Talk to Founders

Believing in the role that web3 can play in the recovery and development of Ukraine, the Public Union "Virtual Assets 2030" together with the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine initiated the study "Web3 for Ukraine: Talk to Founders". This research was conducted as a part of the Web3 Institute project, which was created to promote the development of Ukrainian web3 space, by generating research, educational initiatives, as well as pilot projects that support the public and private sector.

The report's primary objective is to provide decision-makers with information for the strategic integration of blockchain technologies in the government services sector. The report may be useful to individuals in related fields or those interested in the adoption of blockchain technologies at the government level.

EthSignals Manifesto | EthSignals

The project was inspired by the Phil Lucsok and Griff Green presentation at EthMagicians in Berlin on July 2018. The working group was formed shortly afterwards. The project was funded on Giveth by Griff Green, then with the Aragon Nest grant and later on GitCoin and WeTrust. Collectively over $43k was attracted for the development and community work.
