SUNconference Report: Social Economy for Ukraine

This is a report for SUNconference: Social Economy for Ukraine, an innovative online conference held on May 17–24, 2023. Over 40 social entrepreneurs, foundations, policymakers, and activists joined to discuss and collaborate on topics related to social projects and social entrepreneurship, AI as a public good, Web3 for the social economy, the future of Ukraine's image in the world, and mental health among others.

Report: How to create better labor market conditions for migrant Ukrainians

In continuation of our project “Future of work” we conduct studies on the future to create better solutions for today. This year (2022) war in Ukraine lead to a migration of 16M+ people (internally and externally). Most of them are women with kids. With the help of this research, we intend to create better labor market conditions for migrant Ukrainians.

Global Shapers Kyiv Hub

Born out of the World Economic Forum, the Global Shapers Community is a network of inspiring young people working together to address local, regional, and global challenges. In each city, teams of Shapers self-organize to create projects that address the needs of their community. Projects are wide-ranging – from responding to disasters and combating poverty, to fighting climate change and building inclusive communities. Shapers are diverse in expertise, education, income and race, but are united by their desire to bring about change.

Self-organization

Impact UA ecosystem arose in response to the coronavirus epidemic in Ukraine with the project stopcovid ua. We bring together professionals from a variety of fields, government organizations, NGOs and businesses to fight crises and achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. We create effective coordination between NGOs, the government and activists through an open organization where everyone can join and contribute.

• We collect verified information about the situation in Ukraine and useful projects;
• We strengthen human and organizational resources through unification and synergy;
• We initiate and coordinate important projects.

Every day there is a strong collective activity aimed at existing challenges. We need quality coordination and signal collection to find effective solutions.

Community

We believe in a world where young people are central to solution building, policy-making and lasting change. Why? Our generation has inherited enormous global challenges, but by amplifying the voice of young people and self-organizing for impact, we believe that we can overcome inter-generational inequity and shape a better future for all
